Boys and girls of T H E F L O C K … I’m back! And today we’re gonna be talking about one of the new dinos, that is highly rated… and RIGHTFULLY SO! The VELONASAUR! This bad girl is just such a good pvp & defense dino! So let’s start with taming, how do you tame you a little prickly pie?!
So you’ve tamed a prickly prickler… now what? Well start by crafting that salad which conveniently is available at a really low level! Which is gonna be great for all those bobs out there! The VELONASAUR has three attacks! A left click little swipe, a right click precision turret mode, and a crazy zone attack you can activate with C!
DPS is the name of the game with this guy! I couldn’t believe it when members of my server were telling me this… the prickler does INSANE amounts of damage! We tested this with a level 150 PERFECT tame and the numbers were pretty impressive…
Our base level VELONASAUR did 36 damage per quill while in turret mode, 81 damage per swipe attack which is okay, and huge damage with it’s right click zone attack, dealing 63 damage per quill, WOW!
Remember I said it’s all about the DPS baby! These numbers by themselves may not seem super impressive but when you factor in, damage per second… it gets insane!
36 damage per 100 milliseconds, that’s 360 per second!
It gets even crazier when you max out your melee damage too! The zone attack was doing 375 damage per quill!!!! I was able to shred a level 1000 BRONTO in seconds!
Now that's not all either. The VELONASAUR is also a fairly decent mount for getting around, it's sprint speed isn't super impressive but it uses almost no stamina making this guy an excellent long distance runner, and this can be improved by simply dropping some points into movement speed. Also let's not forget that you can jump too, so while kind of slow in the beginning the VELONASAUR is pretty nimble and it's extremely versatile. It's basically a better raptor in every possible way.
But wait it gets even better! The VELONASAUR also has a turret mode!
More possible damage than turret

Cheap and easy to tame
Cheap and easy to maintain
Can't destroy rockets
So how about builds? What should you level?
As an aside I would strongly recommend you invest since time into breeding these things to get enhanced stamina melee and health.
If you're going on a meat run and want to be a terrible person and are looking to completely wipe out an enemies dunno pen you could totally just drop a couple of these in someone's base and just straight hold right mouse button, these do so much damage you can completely wipe them out in a couple minutes. Another super useful place for the VELONASAUR is helping with cave runs!
As far as countering this goes… There's just not really a counter, you could get freezing an enemy VELONASAUR with a snow owl or a managarmr but this is tricky and unreliable. Remember the bigger you are the faster you die with this guy, so ranged attacks are probably best just expect to get shot back.
Extinction places survivors on an Element-infested, ravaged planet filled with fantastical creatures both organic and technological. Earth holds both the secrets of the past and the keys to its salvation.
Unique Environmental Features
Electromagnetic waves are present at certain locations, rendering items such as GPS useless.
Orbital Supply Drops that fall from the sky and when activated, starts a PvE horde-styled event.
Overview
The map appears as if it was laden in the future, overgrown with sci-fi and nature. A shattered moon floats high above Earth's red, swollen sky. A variety of strange, mutated plants, most red or orange, grow among the rocks of the barren wasteland. Corrupted Spires made of corrupt Element appear to be the source of the Corrupted Creatures roaming the land. A blue Obelisk floats above a snow region, surrounding it in a protective forcefield. The Overgrown City sits near the snow area, apparently made of TEK but malfunctioning. A host of Technological creatures surround the city, but organic ones can be found there as well. This is not the Earth we know.

Corrupted Earth contains several inactive structure drops known as Orbital Supply Drops. This new feature requires all survivors with their tamed Creatures to fend off against waves of Corrupted Creatures to obtain the items left behind inside, in the form of PvE style raid.
