- Analysis:
Two interesting facts about Wang Yi (applies to Xingcai as well):
• They auto-block + counter most attacks in the front that will hit her by mashing the square button. With Gauntlets of Vitality, she'll have an infinite supply of Health from countering attacks.
• If they equip Demon Mask, they can auto-block + counter most attacks around her with 360° coverage.
The only moves they cannot block are grab movesets and to some extent, break guard/unblockable attacks (i.e. most officer's C1).
S1-U-S4 is meant for damage consistency + clear time purposes as grounded damage adds up quicker than a lifted enemy with C5 if they didn't freeze in place. S1 forces officer's AI to block her attack, then she can quickly run behind them and land her S4-C5-[JA] for grounded damage.
Her standard strategy outside of using S1-U-S4 is executing C5 straight up and use [JA] to cancel animation and rapidly follow it up with S4-C5-[JA]-repeat.
Another benefiting factor of using auto-block + counter is that she is able to maintain her combo longer, making Aggression and Bastion easier to trigger.

• With Gauntlets of Vitality, she has an infinite supply of Health in AO scenarios
• String out and charge attacks are safe even without Iron Gauntlet
• A combination of S1 or JA can be used to sneak behind officers for a string out KO
• Two great self abilities, both of which he can abuse very well: Efficacy & Speed
• Good combo generator, even in AO scenarios; thanks to the auto-block trait allowing her to sustain combo
- Cons:
• Poor against officer pile up
• Slow clear time relative to the tier she is placed in
- Notes:
• In AO scenarios, the auto-block trait becomes a nuisance, use R1 to avoid from getting locked in the phase
• Average crowd clearer
