56Palaeontologist Fred Spoor investigates the origins of human evolution: the first humans or apes. With the aid of scanners and computer techniques, he makes reconstructions of old, damaged skull remains.
Twenty years ago, he found the skull of Kenyanthropus platyops, perhaps an entirely new humanoid. Fred Spoor goes to Lake Turkana in Kenya, the site of his major discovery. And he visits paleontologist Isaiah Nengo, who has found a skull that is thirteen million years old. Protein researcher Frido Walker has turned the world of paleontology on its head with a new technique. What will be the next discovery in the search for the answer to the question: Where do we come from?
