4A 30-second review of Pokémon Legends: Arceus, by Game Freak, exclusively for the Nintendo Switch!
A seismic change in the classic Pokémon formula, Game Freak has fully promoted this as a BOTW-like. We demanded a Pokémon like Breath of the Wild, and we got it! (For the most part.)
A free roaming open world (that is split up a bit), you capture and battle Pokémon right in line with the world. Throw a ball to try for a capture, go ahead and throw another one instead of waiting or go right into a battle while it's happening!
Fast travel is simple and Helper Pokémon unlock areas of the world that were previously inaccessible and by the end of the game you can get just about anywhere FAST!
My only criticism is that story sequences are chopped up and take too much time keeping you from the stellar gameplay. I have Alpha Pokémon I wanna catch, let's go!
Pokémon Legends: Arceus gets a 9 out of 10! Give us more of this formula! The sequel to this could be stellar!
