This is Life is Strange without the Life is Strange license. You play as Sam Higgs, an investigative journalist who left the town of Basswood 2 years ago following his expose on the local mines and the breakup of his relationship with Anna. Now, he's caught up in a mystery surrounding the death of his best friend, Nick.

The main gameplay mechanics isn't considered "supernatural," but it IS in Sam's own head. Solve mysteries, make critical story-based decisions and find out what really happened to Nick.
Twin Mirror isn't episodic like it's predecessors, and is fairly short, especially once you've played through one time, but the lack of fat is a good thing, not a bad things. It suffers from a rather dry and straight-laced antagonist, but the story is fantastic and it's still a pleasure to play.
Twin Mirror gets a 7.5 out of 10.
