We play a Hag match to utilize our 100% killer bloodpoint while also progressing a survivor tree within the summer BBQ event. While we have some concerns during the match, we pull out a great victory and feel good moving forward.
Then comes our survivor matches. We had a good chance to finish everything we needed to get our last event cosmetic, but failed due to being too altruistic. Instead of getting our Jake escape as well as an adept victory, we sacrificed our self to save a Claudette who had faced a bit of a bad game. We were rewarded with some face camping for the full hook duration. At least the Claudette managed to escape, as well as the other survivors.
That was probably the best of the survivor matches, with the worse being something else all together. Facing the Pig while hoping for an unhooking build/game, we get caught relatively early. This is a bit of a bummer, but was a bit of self imposed. We stuck to a generator to finish it instead of running away. Seeing as how this was our first hook, and we were ahead, I figured it would be fine. Well, I was wrong. I was rewarded with a trap on my head (normal against the pig) but couldn't do anything to take it off before it was activated. That was my teams fault for finishing a generator while we were being carried to the hook. Not the end of the world, we just had to be lucky with our trap removal.
Well, that would have been the case, except upon being unhooked, we were immediately chased by the Pig from box to box while trying to remove the trap. Not much we can do at this point, because even if we could evade the pig until the very last generator was done, and the exit gates were opened, we would still need to remove our trap. Which we were never given an opportunity to do. Instead, we get caught at a box, and hooked again for our troubles. When the next unhook came, we may have messed up a bit. The Pig was right there, and we were hoping to get an hit off the hook, but the Pig patiently waited out the base kit borrowed time, and downed us right then. We were doomed either way, but at least we may have had a chance if we could have cleared out of there right away. But the Pig wouldn't have had any of that anyway, and would have pursued us from box to box like it did the first time.
