Morganis Amulet in hand so its time to return to Qadim, but this time with the rest of the army in tow if the attack on Kangax goes south.

Not even a couple minutes after that little blurb, Jakka & Darius run into Divayth outside the throne room. He urges them to hand over the amulet with magical persuasion powers, then commands them to walk into the throne room while under said persuasion. Fantastic plan that even Kangax saw coming all thanks to Jakka...oh, and Mortimer.

So...what's the plan? Ahmed getting deleted by Helga so Darius can summon him inside the throne room is a brilliant move of course. As for everyone else? They'll have to get the throne room opened from the outside.

The objective is simple enough...take down Kangax. He's completely immune to damage though with the only way to break that immunity is by having someone with the Morganis Amulet stand in front of Kangax's throne.

Of course, there's three issues with that. Opening the throne room requires killing four Voidwalkers, one in each corner of the palace. Seems simple, but there's a problem...usage of staves is sealed until all four are defeated so no Rescue staff cheesing.

The second issue...no convoy access except in your initial preparations so you can't simply send it over when you collect it.

The third issue is that amulet. It's on Divayth who's got a whole army protecting him...with a few of those lovely Dragon Zombies included in the mix, defense piercing breath and all.

The secret lunatic objective is centered around Kangax's summoning shenanigans. He has some very nasty stuff he summons on turn 11 as well as at the start of turn 5 once you initiate phase 2 of the fight. You could say you have a 14 turn limit to complete this chapter which means you need to move very quickly here.

Before you begin the chapter, make sure Jakka & Darius are decked out. Both should have some kind of healing on hand, be it Elixirs or, in Darius's case, Nosferatu. Jakka should also have a Flame Lance and/or Holy Lance because Kangax does summon those phantoms with massive defense on occasion. Also, that Ring you picked up in the last chapter should be in the convoy or Jakka's inventory.

Said Ring is something that needs to be given to Khepri in the next chapter...which leads in to how to recruit the girl as she starts as a red unit down in the south. There's two ways to recruit her.

First way is to kill three Voidwalkers. Do this only on your attack phase, trust me. That way, you can have Khepri shoot north immediately and get rescued by someone or given another turn by Zahri, then Khepri can rescue Zahri and get further away if needed.

The other way is the standard talk to her routine. Zahri can do this as well as Aisha. Holy Water & Symbol on whichever girl wants to bait her in will be good enough to tank a hit.

At this point in the game, anyone new that joins needs to have a specific purpose in mind to consider for a spot on your frontline. Khepri has a horse + dark & anima magic access, giving her some flexibility for how she wants to approach a fight.

Growth wise, pretty good for Khepri with her only real bad growth being def. Strong bases too and a relatively low level.

Khepri's personal skill is Desert Rose, granting +1 damage dealt and -3 damage taken to all adjacent allies. Buffs are always nice to have!

All that's left to sort out at this point is getting the Morganis Amulet off of Divayth's corpse. He can be a rather nasty boss, not because of his personal skill Tomebreaker that greatly boosts his hit & avoid against any tome users, but because of his personal weapon Daedra which can inflict sleep if it hits. Take him down fast once you pull him in.

The secret event for this map is a dancer that appears on turn 3...in the south where all the nasty enemies are. Why yes, I really want to see a Dragon Zombie get danced for...NOT! There are some Boots to steal, but you need to be damn ready for that if you want to get them painlessly.

Once you bring the Morganis Amulet into the throne room, taking out Kangax is pretty standard. He does take reduced damage from crits and has a strong tome in Ogbunabali with 1-3 range, but that's about it.

Once Kangax is sent packing with an arrow to the face courtesy of Crixus, Darius quickly assumes control as king (and has plans for a very bad day if Kangax so much as tries to pull a revival shenanigan on him lemme tell you), pledges his allegiance into helping Jakka take down Mortimer, and gets his father's Ogbunabali for his own use.

More next time!
