Dinosaur Planet (REAL N64) KRAZOA PALACE FIXED (DINOMOD ENHANCED)
Hello guys, and welcome back to another helpful video. In this video I'll be covering more content in the unreleased Dinosaur Planet, using a REAL N64.
Krazoa Palace has been fixed! Making progression past this point now possible without cheats.
The process on fixing Krazoa Palace was treated exactly the same as BlackWater Canyon: being able to collect the next SpellStone and progress further in-game. This is because (just like BWC) KP is mostly incomplete, with missing sequences that no longer exist. Making a full restoration a bit tricky and will take a lot more work.
For now this is just a temporary fix until a full restoration is in the realms of possibility. But this is definitely a major improvement overall, and will only continue to get better over time!
These fixes are once again made possible from people within the Dinosaur Planet Community, so I want to say a big thanks to them for their amazing efforts. Specifically to MusicalProgrammer and Banjeoin for putting it all together.
1:11 - A trigger for music silence has been added upon entering the Krazoa head. This turns off the Cape Claw music; making it less jarring when you're taking the transporter to KP.
1:40 - The transporter now takes you to a portal inside KP, instead of another transporter. As this portal is speculated to have been the intended way to enter and leave KP. This isn't currently proven, but it seems the most likely considering the other transporter is set to take you further inside KP. A trigger for the music in KP has also been added.
2:30 - A lift has now been added, allowing further access into KP to collect the SpellStone. You were also meant to collect a SpellPage: the Mind Read Spell. It was left out, but will be added in the near future.
3:44 - There are now functional doors before entering the 4 corridors. If KP was complete you would've needed to activate 4 emergency reactors within the palace (that's what the 4 corridors lead to), by finding 4 natural elements and placing them under each reactor.
The 4 elements you were going to collect are: Rock, Fire, Water, and Magic. The reactors do exist, but currently don't have any function. The different environments the reactors are located in, do give hints as to which reactor the elements correspond to.
After activating the reactors, Krystal would then travel to the future and the past through a time rip, to get the Mind Read SpellPage and SpellStone respectively.
This was unfortunately cut from our build. There's evidence from left over remnants in the ROM that suggests more content did exist at one point, but is no longer present. However, we do have all the dialogue that was meant for KP. The dialogue will absolutely be used in KP's restoration.
8:32 - This is all the dialogue in the ROM that was meant for Krazoa Palace! I had to reorganise some lines, as they weren't all in the correct order. I'm still not certain about the exact placement for a few lines, but this should give a pretty good idea overall. Let me know what you all think?
