Dinosaur Planet (REAL N64) ROCKY'S ANIMATIONS FIXED (DINOMOD ENHANCED)
Hello guys, and welcome back to another helpful video. In this video I'll be covering more content in unreleased Dinosaur Planet, using a REAL N64.
Rocky's intro cutscene has new animations! This fixes the timing for the out of sync dialogue that used to get cut off. The new animations achieve this by matching the dialogue to Rocky's movements (mostly the mouth), and extending the length of the scene whilst keeping the already existing animations.
The animations were created by using a rough cutscene editor made in Blender. A cube was used as a base to animate, and then that animation data was exported into something Dinosaur Planet could read.
For retiming the cutscene, that was just trial and error running Lua script in RAM to shift the event timings and curves until a desired result was met.
I want to say a big thanks and give credit to MusicalProgrammer who made the animation fixes, as he deserves it for making this possible. All I'm doing is documenting and sharing the progress on fixing up the game.
All these patches to the game are made possible by the incredible efforts in the Dinosaur Planet Community server on Discord: https://discord.gg/6CHM4khXst

In order for the patch to work on an N64 with an Everdrive 64 X5, (not specific to X5) you need to copy and paste 'DP=5' into 'save_db.txt' under ID detection. 'Save_db.txt' is located in the ED64 folder on your Micro SD Card.
