FMV February - Time Traveler & Other Arcade Games
2We grab some more tokens and re-vist the birthplace of the fmv game, the arcade. Our star attraction this time is Sega's Time Traveler. Time Traveler uses Sega's unique Hologram cabinet, which uses mirrors to project the action as if it was floating in front of you. It was created by Dragon's Lair co-creator Rick Dyer and is very similar in gameplay. We play as a live action cowboy who travels through time in order to stop some kind of evil time mastermind or something? I don't know. It's scenes are very wild even if the gameplay isn't as intuitive as the Bluth laserdisc trilogy.
Other titles we look at are Super Don Quixote, Cube Quest, Konami's Badlands, and Taito's Time Gal. The stream might have also had a playthrough of Stern's Cliff Hanger but for the safety of the channel that has mysteriously vanished.
