Sonic Mania - 1st Time Playthrough
2Believe or not, despite enjoying old school Sega I'm not super into 2D Sonic. I like them a lot. Sonic 1 was my first Genesis game and I loved playing it. But I've never been like, wanting a true successor to them. But I was wrong cause it turns out a fan developed love letter to all things classic Sonic really was something I should of played when it came out. Oh well, that's what this stream is here for.
Sonic Mania is regarded by some to be the best 2D Sonic, or at least a return to form. LIke said earlier, a lot of the development was handled by fans, with the 2 biggest names being Christian Whitehead (Taxman) & Simon Thomley (Stealth), 2 juggernauts in the Sonic hacking scene. What we received was a very faithful playing yet fresh at the same time Sonic game. The music provided by Tee Lopes also slaps super hard. Check out my playthrough. I'll have encore and knuckles sometime in the future of course.
