Huge Sailfish Caught Multiple 6-Foot Jumpers!
7Ryan McVinney with Boat Trader reels in a massive 6-foot, 120-pound sailfish onboard Captain Scott Fawcett's 31 Contender center console sport fishing boat "Off The Chain". During the filming of this Stomping Grounds episode segment, the crew had multiples on the line - fighting 3 sailfish at once, and eventually pulled in 4 big sailfish for the day. Rigged with twin 300 HP Yamaha outboard engines Scott Fawcett's 2004 Contender 31 is known for its fast, dry and smooth ride. With a very fishable single level unobstructed open deck offering 360-degree access to the water, the vessel offers the perfect platform for light to medium tackle fishing charters and saltwater fly-fishing charters. Particularly known for catching big sailfish in the "Sailfish Capital Of The World", Capt. Fawcett provides great fishing tips and instructions to viewers as he teaches McVinney how to catch fish using a kite rig and live bait and how to reel in big game fish. "Off The Chain" is professionally rigged with many extras for these specific types of charters. One of the biggest advantages the boat possesses other than the speed and agility is the mini tower. While sight fishing for a number of local Florida species, she provides just the right amount of extra height needed without sacrificing any stability.
The Stuart Florida charter boat is tournament-ready, equipped with a set of 20-foot Rupp outriggers providing a wider spread than most other center console boats around. On the aft corner of the boat in either side of deck are electric Cannon downriggers with remote to pull full size teasers while trolling. While live- baiting for sailfish the boat has electric kite rods forward and aft along with two 45-gallon livewells to keep different baits apart.
