0What you are looking at here is the 2001 release Le Mans 24 Hours on the PlayStation 2 developed by Melbourne House and published by Infogrames. This PS2 game is actually rerelease of a SEGA Dreamcast game Melbourne House developed and Infogrames published ORIGINALLY in 2000 under the name "Test Drive Le Mans" (more on that below in the description).
This game was first released for the original PlayStation, Nintendo GBC (Game Boy Color), PC, and SEGA Dreamcast in 2000 with the Test Drive license under the name "Test Drive Le Mans" by three developers: Eutechnyx (PS1 and PC), Melbourne House (Dreamcast), and Velez & Dubail (GBC). Now in 2002, the game was rereleased for the PC with a name change. Melbourne House handled the remake but without the Test Drive license for the not only the PC, but the PS2 version seen here and renamed it to Le Mans 24 Hours.
The PS2 version seen here features over 70 licensed cars, 6 real world race circuits (Circuit De La Sarthe with it's Bugatti Circuit layout, Brno Circuit, Road Atlanta, Suzuka Circuit, Donington Park and Circuit de Catalunya) with different variations, and a mode where you can race sped up or real-time versions of the 2000 24 Hours of Le Mans at Circuit De La Sarthe in France or the 10 Hour Petit Le Mans at Road Atlanta in Georgia along with the ability to race in different weather conditions and in a day to night transition. You can race in three different car classes: GT, Open Prototype, and Closed Prototype with up to 24 cars on track. In the game's Quick Race mode, race grid sizes vary from both track and car class.
