SEGA Rally Revo PS3 Random Races #1
1Released in 2007 for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, PC, and PSP (PlayStation Portable), it's the fourth game in the SEGA Rally series developed by SEGA Racing Studio (PSP version was developed by BugBear Entertainment). Now if you have played Sega Rally 3 before this playing this one you'll notice that both SR3 and SRR are similar, that's because SEGA Rally Revo was developed simultaneously with SEGA Rally 3, which was release in 2008.
SEGA Rally Revo includes 34 licensed cars that are divided into three groups: Premier Class with 4WD cars, Modified Class with 2WD & Super 2000 cars, and Master Class with mostly classic rally cars (you can even race the cars from the first two SEGA Rally Championship games). There are also several bonus vehicles that can be unlocked with points won as you progress through Championship Mode.
While the game's unique handling model is playable from the 3rd person camera views, I do recommend playing from the hood or bumper camera views since the 3rd person views tend to make the car handling slowly auto-center.
There are five different environments (Safari, Canyon, Alpine, Arctic, and Tropical) and all feature three tracks of which some can also be raced in a reverse direction at a different time of day. Except for the bonus environment Lakeside that only has a single race track can be unlocked as you progress through Championship Mode.
There is a bit of strategy with the courses and (non-bonus) cars. Each have 3 different liveries and all have 2 setups which is Off-Road (better grip on loose surfaces) and Road (higher top speed and more grip on hard surfaces like tarmac or asphalt), picking the right car and setup does make a big difference in handling.
