It's finally time to start a new let's play
So welcome to let's play Persona 3! (It's the Persona 3 FES version, but outside of the extra scenario after the main story, I'm not sure if there is much difference between this and the original Persona 3!)
In typical fashion, I ramble a lot at the start of this new let's play! (To be fair, the rambling was on topic of Persona 3!)
But after a lot of rambling, I get to the intro of the game.
The intro of this game is very weird, and a bit misleading!
We see the protagonist walk to the dorm he will be moving into, with some cuts to a girl holding a gun to her head in her room!
This seems a bit misleading as we will eventually learn that the whole gun thing is not what it looks like!
Continuing on with the odd tone of the intro, some creepy little boy asks us (The protagonist) to sign a contract upon entering the dorm. (I should also note that the world around him before heading inside seems to change in a strange way!)
Without reading anything, we sign our name.
I decide to go with the name he has been given in other media, which is Makoto Yuki.
After signing our name, the girl from the intro shows up looking like she is going to use the gun on us.
But then an older girl shows up to stop her.
The mood then goes from tense, to welcoming, which is pretty jarring!
We then get some introductions done, with the older girl being named Mitsuru Kirijo. (She didn't expect us to show up so late, so that's probably why the other girl seemed to be tense.)
She explains how we were transferred to this dorm at the last minute.
The other girl is named Yukari Takeba, who is one of the few people that live here along with Mitsuru.
Moving on from that, Yukari shows us to our new room.
When she asks us if we have any further questions, I ask her about the contract we signed.
Given her confused reaction, it seems like only we could see the boy and the contract.
That mystery aside, Yukari asks us if we saw anything odd on the way here.
The protagonist being distracted by their music, didn't seem to notice the world changing around them at the time!
Moving on from that, we go to bed.
Waking up the next day, Yukari comes to take us to school.
Upon getting to the school, Yukari gives a very brief summary of where we need to go.
She also tells us to not tell anyone about what happened last night.
Moving on from that, I look around the school and talk to a few people before heading to the faculty office. (There are a bunch of characters here that will have social links later on.)
We then meet our homeroom teacher in the faculty office, Ms. Toriumi.
She goes over our profile, finding out that the protagonist's parents died in 1999, which is a bit awkward due to her not having read it until now!
That aside, we are assigned to class 2-F.
We then head to assembly where the principal gives a speech.
As this is going on, some random guy asks us about if Yukari has a boyfriend, which I reply by saying I don't know.
Moving on from that, we meet a new character in the classroom, Junpei Iori.
He seems like a friendly guy, and also seems to know Yukari.
Speaking of which, Yukari is also in our class.
Yukari also once again asks about us not saying anything about last night, which is kind of awkward when people overhear her say that!
Brief conversation aside, we end up walking home with Junpei.
