Rampart (Amiga) - A Playguide and Review - by LemonAmiga.com
Rampart may be another board game, or something a little more special, but the format of this game is still perfect for tablets and phones to this day.

As this series is drawing to a close, I wanted to sweep the decks of any old footage I had lying around waiting to be used up. There are a couple of games I will be holding back for series 4; as they are both Time Travel and 3D in content; and so we havent seen the last of the jumpy screen refresh games quite yet. Rampart of a game I have fond memories of, and reminds me a little of Battleships with a little Mega-lo-Mania (perhaps) thrown in.
Due to having to reinstall windows on my system, it has completely messed up my drivers, and so I have had to deal with a lot of technical issues this week. The microphone is the exact same one I always used (since the start of series 2 at least), but on some settings I can hear a very noticeable whining in the background of my recorded audio. I tried to make the best use of it in this video, but despite using various filters, it just made the sound seem worse! The footage is also quite old, but the sound on the recording very very low, so I had to boost it - causing a hiss. So you may hear the audio is very muddy with some whiny hiss; not usually a good combination.
I spent a good deal of time adding and working on this, but didnt manage to get all the pops and clicks out of the narration, and without the names of the programmers, the review feels a bit empty. I guess the lack of Comparison Zone had a difference, but mostly the home conversions look identical. This was a bit of a rush job but I got it done.
UPDATE: The sound was awful, so I took the step to replace the show. Its still bad for this episode, but at least now you can hear it. Thanks to the 163 people who viewed the original, and the 121 likes (thanks guys!).
UPDATE 2: Having played this through again, I noticed the magazines at the end were for The Lost Vikings and not Rampart. I've forgotten to add a few researched imaged before, but never messed up a whole section, due to a video editing file cross-reference link error, when I changed my system recently. So I decided to re-upload the whole thing again. Third time lucky. Nothing was done to fix the poor sound. The videos I took down had 177 'likes', and 336 Views (combined); which is the most I've had for a game for some time. So if you liked it so much it was worth fixing the ending for all time viewing pleasure. Sorry to all those who watched the original vids and never get to see the fixed version.
