[Voyager Sim Project] Panarea Fly (LIM4)
This is a scenery in progress. As more elements are added to the scenery, I am still testing that the runways and concrete walls are stable, unlike the default cliffs that "jump".
Taking off from, and landing on the longer runway with the Sbach 342.
As the wind comes from the East, landing towards the West with tail wind is a bit tricky...
Hangars added, with many trees all around the airport.
Do you see our two friends from Star Wars, R2-D2 and C-3PO, the solar farm and the Star Wars ship?
Both windsocks work correctly.
After landing, we take the drone camera to look at this airport's details. And it is still "work in progress"!
The runways AND CONCRETE WALLS are good and stable, but the cliffs morphing is a problem as we approach / leave the area (as the simulator loads / unloads Terrain Elevation points). This may need a lot of extra rocks put around the cliffs, not too close to the cliffs, to avoid the extra rocks jump too, and runways may have to be modified too.
Otherwise, the work itself by Nunzio is very good! Shame the cliffs jump in Flight Simulator by default, even with Terrain LOD set at 400, the Maximum. However, in this video, it is set at 200, as when the Terrain LOD is set at the Maximum, FPS are lowered and we get more stutters.
Or maybe, could all the cliffs of the surrounding area be redesigned in the same way the runways and the aprons are?
AIRCRAFT:
Sbach 342 from LivToAir
Note: from 0:10 and from 16:40, the EFB states:
"Your internet connection is lost or our servers are down" (without the typos!)
As my internet connection is FINE, I conclude that their servers are down! They seem to have been down for a long time now!
