Sonic the Hedgehog 2 (Genesis) live stream full playthrough
12In this stream, I am playing Sonic the Hedgehog 2, one the of the great classic Sonic games during his early prime days in the Sega Genesis, and second of the franchise. Of course, this was when Sega was battling with Nintendo during the infamous Console Wars. This is actually the only 16-bit era Sonic title I ever played in a real Genesis - all other old titles were through emulators. I used to have people fighting wanting to play Tails in 2 player from the console experience as a kid until I showed them how to be him in single player.
This game marks the debut of Tails and Super Sonic. This title is also the start of Sonic's great, long battle against the infamous Death Egg.
Unfortunately, I do not own a Sega Genesis, so, I'm playing Sonic 2 through its re-release in the Sonic's Ultimate Genesis Collection game in the Xbox 360. But, its emulator experience is virtually identical to the actual 1992 cartridge game.
I am doing a full playthrough of the game with Sonic alone. The 7 Chaos Emerald cheat will be used to save me time to gain the Good Ending, but I will not use Debug Mode nor the Level Select codes. The stream will be muted.
