The Crew 2 - Bugatti Chiron 300+ Divine Edition on Custom Tracks (Race Creator Update)
The Crew 2 is getting another update this week and it is one of the most impactful ones in a very long time. Not only are we getting the usual motorpass content but also an amazing new feature with the race creator! Here you can see the creator in action and some gameplay with the latest Bugatti on some tracks that were made with it.
Timeline:
0:00 Recreating Highway One from TC1 with the Race Creator
1:50 Restriction and Weather Settings
3:17 Choosing Name and Thumbnail
3:56 Validation Test Run
4:38 Publishing and Launching my Track
5:27 Highway One with Bugatti Divine Edition
10:03 Custom Big Land (Coop Run with thommyfromwalle)
You can access the race creator in free roam from the small menu on the right side of the screen. Your tracks can have up to 300 checkpoints and unlike in TC1 you can turn off traffic and collision and choose a custom weather condition for your race. You can even set up a custom vehicle restriction if you want to, like for a Summit event.
You have to name your event by combining words from a predefined list and you also have to pick a thumbnail from a list of available photos. Finally you have to complete one test run to validate the event before you can publish it.
All of the published events can be found in the new Community Races tab and there is also a section that only shows your own races. Each custom race has a leaderboard as well.
Unfortunately for now there is no option to unpublish races again, so you should only publish a race if you are sure that you are happy with it. You also can't publish multiple versions of the same race, so if you want to use the same track for multiple disciplines you unfortunately have to build it multiple times.
Overall the race creator allows us to do quite a lot though, especially compared to the one in TC1, so I am looking forward to creating and publishing races with it.
I already have a lot of things in mind that I want to create this week, including recreations of quite a few TC1 tracks, improved versions of some TC2 events and even some brand new tracks on previously unused roads on the map, so stay tuned for a bunch of TC2 content this week. :)
