Inside the beautiful aesthetics of this game hides a sinister story about racism, genocide. The most interesting aspect, story-wise, is the use of a narrator who describes what's happening as you play. This effect is used to provide reassurance, give exposition and even influence the player's decisions.

Although the story itself is simple, almost every aspect of the gameplay is grounded in the story. Even the New Game+ mode has a narrative justification.

Next up will be Transistor, which took a similar design strategy in a very new direction.
