By far the toughest game I've yet to analyze, once again Super Giant Games show how powerful the impact of a story can feel when a character reacts to your actions. This time it's done on a more intimate level, as Red and her mysterious companion share their love for one another as they try to escape the clutches of The Process which is trying to 'simplify' the city.

The main antagonists are not what you'd usually expect. Their actions are inexcusable, yet you can't help but feel sorry for them as they come to this conclusion as well.

Many aspects of the story are not immediately apparent, such as the character profiles. By using each attack in the various active, upgrade or passive slots, this unlocks the character profile associated with the function. This provides the player with an incentive to try out all sorts of combinations in order to learn more about each character

On top of that, the music this time around is incredibly relevant to the plot - something I don't see nearly enough in video games. Each song helps tell the story as well. 'In Circles' show Sybil's unrequited love for Red, 'We all become' is effectively a foreshadowing of the entire game and 'Paper Boats', my favorite song by far, is about Red's determination to find her lover.
