Warcraft 3: Reign of Chaos (Hard) - Orc Campaign - Chapter 01: Landfall
The Orc campaign starts just after the prologue, with a rough landing for Thrall and the Horde. A lot of what I said there will apply for the early levels in this campaign. The Shadow Wolves are the skill you'll want to invest in first for Thrall as they'll tank hits and keep your resource costing unit/Thrall himself alive longer. Their expendibility and ability to draw units away will come in handy in a few levels in the campaign.
Try to take out all the creeps in this level for experience, they thankfully drop a lot of restorative items that should help you keep every unit alive. Start by heading N and you'll take out two packs of Murlocs (the huts have nothing in them). The Healing Wards will come in handy, and ideally should be used at the start of an encounter to lower wait time. You'll find some Centaurs to the N past some burning huts (which again have nothing). I don't think you can save the Tauren here.
There's Quillbeasts to the SE. The first pack will have more Healing Wards and further S you'll rescue some Troll Headhunters.
Further East there's more Centaurs with another presumably unsaveable Tauren. Head E for some more Murlocs by a burnt ship and NE of here you'll find some more Grunts and Troll Headhunters.
Further NW there's a doomed Tauren and more Quillbeasts. You'll see a loop of marching Centaur. Circle round for even more Quillbeasts and a Fountain of Health. You can lure some Harpies to the NE of here with Headhunters and this should get Thrall level 2, which should obviously be spent on the first Spirit Wolf tier.
There's some more Quillbeasts to the SE of the Fountain and Lizards to the SW. Your Wolves can absorb the stun and you should take out the Thunder Lizard quickly.
Harpies to the E of here hold a Scroll of the Beast, so it's worth killing them for a free Bloodlust type effect.
Further NE you'll find Murlocs which drop a Scroll of Health for a nice permanent upgrade to Thrall, and then S from here you'll find the rest of your forces and have more Centaurs to kill. Once dead you'll meet up with the Bloodhoof Tauren Chief, Cairne Bloodhoof.
Instead of instantly following his forces, head SE and you'll encounter a large Murloc group. Try to keep the Scroll for later, and healing and Chain Lightning with Mana Potions should get you through it for a Periapt of Vitality.
Use the Scroll of the Beast with your forces and Cairne's near each other either during the second or third wave of Centaurs - preferably before any units are lost to get the most benefit. His units are pretty beefy and will deal a lot of damage with this buff. After the Champion is dead and the last forces taken care of Thrall agrees to help Cairne in exchange for passage to the Oracle.
