- Analysis:
Sakon Shima is pretty good in this game. His gameplay is identical to Ranmaru Mori, but with subtle differences. His Air R1 is his main offense and grants him Attack Speed buff, which Ranmaru doesn't have. It's a subtle difference in Free Mode, but plays a bigger role in Gauntlet Mode. Ranmaru's R1 buffs are rather lackluster and out of the way compared to Sakon's.
What really separates Sakon Shima from Ranmaru Mori in Free Mode is Ranmaru's self-Stamina. Because of self-Stamina, this allows him to have access to double-Stamina & Impact with Thrift, making his sustainability far much better than Sakon.
However, in Gauntlet Mode enemies are much sturdier and Alacrity almost becomes mandatory. Stamina & Impact alone are not consistent enough to save these two. This is where Sakon is better than Ranmaru because Sakon's WD and combo generating utilities are far much better and greater than Ranmaru's. Sakon's R1 can net him a near endless supply of combos without thinning out the crowd too fast. Compared to most Wonder users, Ranmaru's WD is terrible for generating 500 combos as it severely lacks of damage, hitbox and combo count.
