Battle Shapers is an Indie, First Person Action Roguelike / Roguelite Sci-Fi Shooter that is massively influenced by both Doom Eternal, and Mega Man; yep.
From the rebooted Doom series, Battle Shapers takes the finishing system, of melee crushing an enemy for an hp / shield boost, adding the arcade feeling that is so characteristic of the new Doom, and so very different from the old, still good greats.
From the Mega Man series, Battle Shapers takes the general robo future premise, stylized bosses, and main character, only flashier and gender swapped, in case that’s your thing.

Gameplay:
Battle Shapers is a fast and flashy FPS where you blast, punch, and jump dash your way through SciFi killer robot packed lvls, finding weapons, abilities, and upgrades as you clear out the bad bots and avoid the traps.
The lvls seem to change every time you clear the stage, becoming a bit more difficult as you get stronger and stronger; a good way to keep the challenge up.

Meta Progression:
Meta Progression is present in the form of found red gems, used to unlock more hp, shields, new weapons, and abilities, while within run progression is found gold coins, used to purchase guns and upgrades from the merchant.

Controller support is present, as is good old mouse and keyboard; the old, yet still best way to play an FPS.

Note: This is an early look at the demo for Battle Shapers so any bugs or other oddness is not representative of the final product.
Still, Battle Shapers is a fast and fun SciFi FPS Action Roguelite that offers flashy, arcade influenced first person combat that should appeal to those who like the new Doom, and is easily worth a wishlist and a watch.
