Retro Dungeon Crawler Indie Action Awaits! – Legends of Amberland II Demo – #02
Legends of Amberland II is an Indie, Open World, Turn Based, First Person RPG Dungeon Crawler, an Old School CRPG that is very Exploration focused and just screams old-school influences, specifically, Might and Magic 4 or 5.
Ever play Might & Magic 4 or 5, otherwise known as World of Xeen?
Legends of Amberland II is much like that, only this time, you get up to 7 characters; seven!
Gameplay:
With Grid Based Movement, Legends of Amberland II is a blobber, as your party moves around the world in a blop, engaging wandering monsters in turn-based battles, all in retro Pixel Graphics that are bright, easy on the eyes, and easy to read.
Player Choice:
Legends of Amberland II has 4 Difficulty settings; selectable right at the start, and you can jump right in with the default party if you wish, or you can create your own party.
4 races to choose from, and 8 classes, plus a few more classes restricted to certain races, like the Sage, a magic user with some healing, restricted to elfs and half elves, or the Battlesmith, a more tank-ie fire using fighter / ranger restricted to dwarfs.
Gamepad support is planned for the full release, which should present a new way of playing an old school bloober.
Note: This is an early look at the demo for Legends of Amberland II so any bugs or other oddness is not representative of the final product.
Still, Legends of Amberland II is a fun retro CRPG bloober that offers a lot of content, and if you loved Might & Magic 4 or 5, or are interested in experiencing a very similar descendent, it is one you’re likely love, and is easily worth a wishlist and a watch.
