Amiga: The Quantum Leap - Studio Tour and Early Production Notes
Recorded 9th Oct 2016: - A tour of my 'studio' and a talking about what I'm working on.
Notes:
My ride for the Play Expo didnt happen, so rather than waste the opportunity, I made this impromptu video. It was edited and uploaded the day after filming, on 10.10.16, but I scheduled it for the weekend as normal. The image is slightly cropped to cut out a sweat stain appearing under my right armpit, so thats why its a bit off centre to how I had it set up. The auto focus is also lacking; I should have zoomed in more to also open up the exposure, sorry, it was just a spur of the moment thing, and I missed many things I forgot to say. A big shout out to all my followers who read this, and I really do mean that.
The machine you can see is a Gigabyte Gamer 5 motherboard inside and A500 Plus case, with a hole in the top which allowed my water cooler pipes access to the CPU, (which I modified a few days before the vid, making the hole look a bit redundant). I have a worn out Nvidia 650 in there, and 8GB ram. The main screen is a 2k (running in 1080p due to old GFX card) LED LCD monitor, the small one is a 90's Multiscan monitor I used to run my Amigas on. The PC has an A1200 keyboard thanks to an Indivision card, and has a 256GB SSD, and 8TB external HDD space. I use a Goliath 900w PSU and a H60 cooler for my i7 4770k cpu. The microphone is a stereo mic which I got some time after the Microprose F1GP review, and is still not perfect but is the best I have found so far, having tried and bought a few over the years. My two room flat has some damp in the top corner which repaint every year. The rest of the flat is very colourful - its just that the PC corner is in the most boring corner.
