The introduction to Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora takes us to Envoy Academy, a boarding school for the children of the Na'vi, a humanoid race from the planet Pandora featured in James Cameron's films. The Academy belongs to the Resource Development Corporation (RDA), the main villains in this universe, spitting on the beauty of Pandora and causing destruction for profit. Little Na´vi were raised for many years within the walls of a boarding school, not allowing them to contact the aborigines and offering them a “civilized life,” but after many years the blue-skinned children had the opportunity to escape.

The premise is banal, but the prologue gameplay has something to offer. It is very rare in first-person games that you manage to control a three-meter giant, and here the size of the character is perfectly conveyed - you cannot enter the doors until you crouch, and when you try to straighten up in a narrow corridor, you hit your head on the ceiling. At this point, it seems that Frontiers of Pandora will be able to offer a new experience, and not just repeat some tired formula and force us to do the same thing that we have been doing for many years in a row in open world action games. Unfortunately, it is not.
