The Bingham family from Hexham, Northumberland, has faced the heartache of two of their children, Ariel and Noah, requiring kidney transplants due to nephronophthisis, a genetic kidney disease. Their mother, Sarah, donated a kidney to Ariel, and a family friend donated to Noah. Tragically, their third child, Casper, now also needs a kidney transplant due to the same condition. Nephronophthisis leads to kidney failure before the age of 30. Despite the challenges, both transplants have been successful, and the family encourages open conversations about organ donation and the importance of altruistic donors.
