Highlight: Warframe (PS4) - Focus Schools Are Too much Grind
1Let me be straight. If it's something to be considered as means to get it by just playing and not specifically go to grind it (which is always awful) - because one of the good parts of WF is combining multiple tasks, then developers failed at it.
The new revision of the system was something to look forward to, but after checking the amount of total experience I had - Zenurik was the most, at almsot 2 mill - and checking what I can unlock, it dawned on me as merely 3 maxed nodes (in some cases not even 3). I do have additional about 1.3 mill with Eidolon shards, Naramon was at 1.8 mill and Madurai around 400k.
In total with over 1k hours + of game time and doing very little specific focus grind I am at 5.5-6 (rough estimations) in total. This amount of experience can't max a single school. Maybe 7 or 8 nods in total. You know there is 5 of those schools right :D.
Sure if you want to make and force people to specifically waste their time to grind for this one thing somewhere on an island instead of being an integral part you get to improve along the - mostly story - and other grinds, then I say no thank you.
It is and still is one of the reasons this systems failed/fails. The amount of experience required is way-way off the chart for relatively regular and not ultra committed players. Nothing in that department was changed. Which is sad and shows how little some of the developers are in tuned with their own game.
Then again I don't have the numbers, so I can't say how much people did invest into school grind. I am gonna be very surprised if there are more than 2 percent in the player base with each school maxed out.
p.s. I didn't even talked about the hassle with the lenses - I had to re-remember some of this bs :D. In typical WF fashion - get a thing that increases your Focus xp gains, but there is another that increses is better if you grind and upgrade the previous one, but you know what there is even one extra better etc. -- Watch live at https://www.twitch.tv/freebiebg
