How'd These Get Here? Random Items In Our Game Room
There are a lot of things in my Game Room, and some things are super random. Of course I have games, consoles, controllers, and other items, but I also have some truly random items. Some of these things I have no idea how that got here, but there are definitely ones that belong. Let's take a look at this collection of randomness.
Number 3
Mickey Mouse Club-style Personalized Ears
The first time I went to Disney World in 2013, I knew I wanted to get a set of personalized ears. Years later I made it happen, and of course being a classic and retro fan, I went with the classic style and logo. I also had them personalized and they are lovingly on display as you enter the basement and come into the Game Room.
Number 2
Team Losi Racing 8IGHT-XE Aluminum Caster Blocks
I've spoken many times about my love of RC, and for the longest time I raced TLR buggies and trucks. For the 2022 season, I bought a new to me TLR 1/8 scale buggy to race at Eli Field. One issue that popped up was binding in the steering, but a fix is to replace the molded composite pieces with aluminum units. I've had these parts sitting for 18-months, waiting and ready to install, but I've also not raced since the 2022 season.
Number 1
Ceramic Pineapple Plant
A few years ago, Jay and Meredith from @SquarePegs sent me this ceramic Pineapple plant. It all stemmed from a conversation regarding whether or not Pineapple belongs on pizza (SPOILER: it most definitely does NOT). Well, they thought they'd be cute and send me a ceramic Pineapple plant, this way no matter what I couldn't kill it. This is someone that lives on a shelf above my television now, and I see it every time I come in to the studio.
What are some of the random things in your game room? Are you wrong and believe pineapple belongs on pizza? Share your thoughts in the comments!
