We've gone just about everywhere else we can get to, so might as well head to Barrow Downs now. No coach takes you there, so the only choice we have is on foot. First, though... some magic that we've probably needed for a little while now.

Barrow Downs is home to Ghosts, Gogs, and Gargoyles. The first two aren't all that tough, but the last are hard to hit and have tons of HP. This area is also home to a series of mini-dungeons called Barrows, which are basically Dwarven burial chambers. Most of these are infested with vermin like rats and bats, though there's also Gogs in some of them, and a variety of undead such as zombies, skeletons, ghouls, and wights, the last of which are truly bad as they have varieties that drain your SP to 0 or magically age you.

The Barrows have an interesting arrangement, where they use tunnels to connect them, but the same tunnel can connect to two separate places using a mechanism on the wall to choose which one to go to. Only problem is that before this place was abandoned the Dwarves locked the mechanism with three different keys, and we have to find them all and unlock them before we can fully navigate our way through.

Why are we here, though? A special Barrow called Zokarr's Tomb is located here, which contains a special meditation spot that will promote out Monk to an Initiate, which is my goal as he needs the promotion to get Expert Disarm Trap skill, which would provide double his current skill rank when opening trapped chests and boxes.

We do find something very good, in here. The Lantern of Light was in Barrow II, which is a quest item that we were asked to find by someone at the temple in Harmondale. It's not a large cash reward, but it's nice to complete.

We explore Stone City in the midst of the adventure. Home of the Dwarves. We get a quest here to clear Troglodytes out of the lower cavern for a small reward. We get a couple games of Arcomage done here, find a few skill teachers, and eventually come to a decision on next steps.

I mistake the lower exit from Stone City as being Thunderfist Mountains, when in fact it's the Nighon Tunnel, which connects to Thunderfist Mountains, which then leads to Mount Nighon as well as another cavern called the Tunnel to Eofol, which leads to Land of the Giants. It's actually a pretty quick trip to Nighon if you know where you are going.
