0This game was the very big reason I wanted to buy a VR headset. I already loved TWD as a franchise be it the show, and the Telltale games. When i saw this game, I wanted it badly. So when I learned that it was in VR, at first I was bummed out, but then it just made me want it more cause sure, I'm good at busting up zombies in every zombie game with controller and all, but this one... ooooh this one you needed to be your own controller and for a 44 year old man like me, I wanted to see if I could POSSIBLY cut it in the world of The Walking Dead. And well... I could definitely since it isn't going by the "one bite you're f00ked rule" we know of in both the series and Zombie lore overall.
This game is such kick ass, I love it so much, but because I can only play so much on VR, i can't spend hours upon hours playing it. I am sort of acclimated with the VR usage, but still with old real life injuries of mine, it limits me from really bulldozing through it. But to me, that's actually a good thing because it'll give me more replay-ability since I have not completed it. Plus there's still the DLC that I'll have to play after I complete the story. The mechanics could be hilarious at some points due to your movement with the VR controllers which you'll see at one point when I dispatched a zombie with my axe. But man does it deliver on how to take them down. The only thing I still have to work on is with projectile weapons. Though I can actually shoot things like no one's business IRL, you have to adjust your aim due to your VR equipment. It take a little getting used to, but it's awesome once you get used to it. I have the Meta Quest 2 VR set, but I purchased the game through Steam which I needed the link cable. So if you have those two things, and you're in a Zombie game drought, I'd recommend this game wholeheartedly, It is so much fun.
Caution, I am actually commentating throughout the game since I have my mic on so I'm probably gonna slip out some cusses. So no little ones in the room if you have any. Anyhow as always, enjoy my beautiful boring gameplay!
