----------------

Quake II RTX is an official version of Quake II with improved graphics with the so famous raytracing. Until now I had not tried it on my PC, thinking that it would not be playable, because I have a GTX 1080, an excellent graphics card (the best I've had since I played on PC, in the early 90s), but it doesn't support hardware raytracing. In other attempts to test games with raytracing were serious fail, because either they were unplayable, or they crash after a few seconds. Well, it turns out that Quake II RTX is playable... although with important sacrifices, of course.

At the beginning I show the graphics options I have set, but basically, the important thing is that I have enabled the dynamic resolution, so that the game runs at 30 fps and reduces the resolution between 50-100% from 1080p. And most of the time, the reduction is 50-60% (you can see it in the upper right corner). In other words, it looks blurry.... But it's playable. In fact, I could play the whole game like this. And well, since I play video games, I've played them much more blurry and below 30 fps XD Anyway, I post this gameplay in case someone with the same graphics card as me is interested to see how it runs.

Quake II RTX is available for free on Steam and GOG, but to play the full game, you must have installed a normal version of any of those stores (I don't know if the original retail version works).
