Real Time Conflict Shogun Empires review is my opinion of this RTS game. To see more reviews like this please visit http://www.mygamereviewsnintendo.com This game is a interesting attempt at bringing a detailed RTS game to the Nintendo DS. This game very much reminds me of being in the same thought process of Shogun Total War but not as good. Truthfully I feel like they were trying to overachieve with this game. The plot is very simple which isn't a bad thing with two brothers warring for control of Japan. You have the usual RTS style with a map of Japan broken up into provinces which you can capture. At provinces unites can be trained, upgraded, used to defend castles or siege castles as well. Combat is very straightforward with either moving units on a map or having simulated automated battles. Really units don't seem to be balanced and controls do not respond well. Often times people move slow or not very precisely. On top of this archers are by far the best units to have no matter what. I think the developers were trying to make something good for the RTS game. But for any strategy fans I would stick to other DS games such as advance wars.
