The Long Dark (17.10.2023) Challenges - Hopeless Rescure (4:6)
Trying again to complete the "Hopeless Rescure" challenge in The Long Dark. Seems very difficult to get it done in only 6 Days. Not only it's on time, but one also need to gather some better clothes, instead of the few low quality clothes when you spawn in Mystery Lake. So you are able to walk or run more than 50 meters, and don't get frostbites or hypothermia. Okay, a bit of exaggeration. But you get my point. In other words, if you don't change your clothes to something better, you wont get far.

Because item drops are random, the chance of you to get good items, are also random. In other words, the chance of a good out come or success are random. But yes, to be fast at all times, and don't do unnescary task have to be first priority. And one have to avoid wolfs, and bears. Because that could set you back a lot of game-time. Or kill you.
And also ofcause, to get from point A to point B without any detour. And shortest rute, to make the best use of your precious time.

Difficulty level should be at Voyager in Challenges, when I look it up. But seems like they can't all be on Voyager level, when you look at the different numbers of axe-icons. This first challenge at a 4:6 difficulty.

The normal survival has four different difficulty levels. That is:

Pilgrim: "Wander the quiet apocalypse to chronicle the passing of an age. This is the poetry of survival."

Voyageur: "Equal parts hunter and hunted, your struggle to survive will eventually lead to mastering the elements."

Stalker: "Your demise awaits behind every hilltop, shelter, and tree. Only the strong survive."

Interloper: "You are not part of Mother Nature's plan, and you will bear the full force of her wrath. The true test of Human VS Nature."

Plus also a costum difficulty mode, you set various variables with eg. your needs, Animal behaviour, Quality and quantity of items (loose or inside containers), Wind variability and weather type probabilities etc.

03:35:00 Spending too much time on repairing the running shoes. The few hours I had left in the Challange, the 15% durability on the shoes would probably have been alright. Or on the safe side not to suddenly worn down the shoes, one repair to get it to 35% would have been more than enough.
