The Long Dark (15.10.2023) Challenges - Hopeless Rescue (4:6 Difficulty)

Challenges are a part of Survival (submenu of Survival). Each challenge can be different task, you need to complete within a number of days. Or perhaps hours. Have only tried first challenge at the moment, called "Hopeless Rescue". So I can only comment on that one. Overall challenge is to get a signal out to someone. And here you need to get to Timberwolf Mountain Region, recover a distress pistol and fire it from the top of Desolation Point Lighthouse before 6 days. Difficulty for this one are marked as 4 hatch-icons out of 6.

I learned very fast, that wolves are more vicious than in Pilgrim mode (easy mode) in the normal Survival game. Were in a cave, and were barely in the opening of the cave. But wolf outside attacked me, and I have to fight with the wolf. But also fight the infection from the bite.
Seemed very interesting these kind of challenges. You earn a badge for each completed challenge.
This mode are also difficult because besides you are on limited time, also have low quality clothes, and very few items. Plus your skill are down to zero, like when all types of game modes are started from scratch.

So you very easily get sick if eating food around 50% or especially when food quality are lower than that. And you struggle to start fires, also because that fire skill are starting at zero.

01:22:10 Not looking good. No sleep and fire only heat for few minuttes.
01:23:10 Had sortta giving up. Going to rest on a bedroll at -12 degrees.
01:23:20 Challange Failed.
01:23:37 Retry. Game are starting on Challenge again, but randomize item drops and item inventory.
04:17:06 Almost same situation as before. Died in sleep. Had chosen 2 hours of sleep. Thought I had 6 hours to get to Timberwolf Mountain. But apparently I had less than 2 hours left.
