Zoo Tycoon - Ultimate Animal Collection (13.10.2023) 03. South America Campaign (Easy)
Trying this time to move to the next level so to speak... To play the real game, or Campaign mode in other words. Were not that good at it I think. Even thou it were first campaign in Easy mode, I think the time on 30 min seemed too little to do the different tasks. I had to adopt some Girafs, and also tigers. Plus in this campaign mode, one need to keep an eye on your budget so you don't exceed your budget, and spend too much money on unneseccary tasks. Plus also quite often, you need to research different exhibits and facilities, before you can buy and place them in your Zoo. The research time are often not that time consuming. But you know, every little steps add up, and you only has 30 min. And there is a magazine coming to review your zoo. If you haven't hired janitors, zoo keepers, and staff for breeding animals, the magazine might not accept your Zoo is clean, and you are having healthy and happy animals.

Things get a lot more stressful in my mind, compared to the Sandbox mode. The navigation in the menu system still doesn't seem very intuitive to me, and quite confusing I must say. So I not a fast player to this game.
Were trying to give eg. the elephans what they needed with food, water, and water-hose for bath etc. But they somehow got sick anyway and moved away. But I have some ideas why it happen. The feeding station gets filled up automatic in Sandbox mode I think, but not in Campaign mode. Then you need to select it, and choose "Fill". I were also a bit slow to hire the Zoo-keepers. And in the end, I forgot I haven't assigned the staff to different exhibits (areas with animals).

The Sandbox are fun to fiddle around, but also gets kind of boring and repeatitive IMHO. And campaign were too stressing and kind of hard for me.
So it's going to my last game in Zoo Tycoon.

The overall experience were a bit fun. But graphic style, and lack of details are maybe a bit too childish for me I must admit. It were a bit educational about some infos on the animals. But the feedback from the game if the animals were starting "to feel unhappy" were in my mind not desciptive enough. I had to often guess what the animal needed, if it were because of hunger, bath, water, entertainment etc. they needed. It were possible to dive deeper into the game's complex system of clicking multiple times, to find out eg. a specific elephant were unhappy because of maybe food or lack of being social. But spending some minutes about that, were annoying me to be frank. And also reason why I failed a couple of times with the campaign. My precious 30 min. soon got eaten away, just by navigating around in the menus.

But anyway, have tried this game. But got tired of it. To quote Dara Ó Briain about videogames and when he is in a car cue and stuck in traffic in GTA 4 "Oh my God I'm coommuting" :-D

But now moving on to another game.
I got recently Hunt: Showdown, Space Invaders Exteme, Crysis 1-2-3 Remastered in my library to game. Plus a brand new fps Swat game will maybe be soon realised. It's called "Direct Contact" and close to game like eg. Ground Branch or Ready or Not. So it's in the Swat game family that aims to have realism in the frontseat, when it comes to the weapons, attachments. Adult content when it comes to the dialogue, and perhaps also maps and suspects that can seem a bit hardcore. "Direct Contact" are still in it's early access mode. And when it's on steam, it will Beta mode. So please don't critize it. Or in other words, when critizing it, it should be objective criticism, and subjective criticism.
