Twisted Metal III Playthrough
11998, PS-X. Rating: 1.5 out of 4 stars
After two solid entries, the series moved on to a new developer, 989 Studios, and the result is a decided step down. While the basics from its predecessor are all there, that’s about all it has going for it. Everything feels half-baked from the game design to the gameplay to the physics engine. There isn’t much energy in the title and it is over far too quick. Maybe that’s a good thing because many gamers would have stopped long before they reached the finish line. The Rob Zombie soundtrack is decent and it is suitably challenging, but it isn’t very much fun and wears out its welcome far too quickly.
