Let's Play Might and Magic VI! Part 73 - Dark No More

Castle Darkmoor. We're almost done with the place, just need to clear out the inner castle, which is rather insanely full of Eyes and Liches.
There are three main chambers to the inner Castle Darkmoor: the first is a large fairly open chamber with pillars on either side and another of those cubes hanging from the ceiling. The center of this room is a massive Fireball trap that attacks from all sides. The second chamber is empty save for a depression in the middle and some squares surrounding it that I correctly identify as a trap which spawns Liches.
The last chamber is also large and open, and mostly filled with Liches (though there are a few eyes). The trick to this one, though, is that the entrance from the second chamber, while looking like an open section of the wall, is in fact protected by an invisible barrier that prevents the enemies from even seeing you, let alone attacking you. Also if you walk through it and get their attention, they will slowly walk through the barrier in a long line of Liches.
As such, it's strangely easier to clear out the final chamber than any of the others. There's a Lich King in that chamber, but it strangely doesn't cast spells and instead melee attacks. No clue how strong that is; it made the mistake of walking right up to me, so only got the chance to attack a couple times.
So, those switches I flipped were needed to turn the cubes from blue to red. Further, I had to touch the first two red cubes on the way to the last one, which changed from blue to red when I read that last plaque. That allowed the final red cube to teleport me to a chamber that had the Book of Liches, something we needed to destroy for a quest. Then we graverob and got a few decent equipment upgrades!
Oh, and we pick up Memory Cube Delta, which was ultimately the goal of raiding this place.
