Today we start with some skill maintenance, including Master Bow for Roy and Mayfair, then I notice that the month had changed, so it's off to the Seer and a pilgrimage that takes us right back to Kriegspire for the shrine there.

Finally, it's back to Eel Infested Waters where Castle Alamos resides on the northern island. Before actually going in, though, we first check out the houses and shops to see what's there and then notice some monsters activated and decide to just kill them all off. They're just Abominations, which are surprisingly low level monsters that also give low level rewards... surprising because they are only found here, Castle Kriegspire, and one other dungeon we haven't visited yet and are all what I would call late game areas.

Castle Alamos is an interesting place. Filled to the brim with Sorcerers, Magyars, and Air Elementals. It's also a fairly large dungeon with an interesting mix of rooms, open areas, and narrow corridors. There's a word puzzle here that I short circuit because I will never forget the answer to this puzzle, but it involves finding trees that tell you how to find the letter in one of five positions, usually by finding it in relation to the letter in another position. The answer is JBARD, by the way. No idea what it means.

I find the Memory Crystal early, but still take the time to clear the dungeon. Much of the treasure is so-so, but there is a chest with nothing but gemstones in it, so that was a cool find. Also, there's something weird going on in the basement... An extremely long corridor that a Fireball trap occasionally fires down. In essence it's meant to be a deadly trap that you are caught in because the far side of the corridor has a large number of Magyars that you have to fight your way through to reach one of the puzzle trees, but I feel like there had to be an underlying story reason for that being there... like some kind of magic generator or something...

Anyways, we clear the dungeon and turn in another Memory Crystal, then come to find that training costs too much, so we invest enough points in everybody's Merchant Skill to become Masters, which significantly reduces the cost.
