MiSTer FPGA - Cyber Police ESWAT [1cc] (サイバーポリス イースワット) / Sega System 16 Arcade
10My first 1cc for ESWAT! Playthrough dedicated to my cruising buddy JMA from Forza, who used to play this in arcades & recommended it. I never got to try this one on an original cabinet, but wish I would have as it's a pretty fun mix-up of Shinobi & Robocop style gameplay! I first tried this when a buddy visited and we weren't able to clear it because the final set of stages (13-15) don't allow you to continue. In this run I finally cleared it with a single credit and was able to get to the stage 11 boss without taking any damage. Messed up big-time at the stage 11 bosses though, and got shredded there. I still don't understand how the damage system works when you have the cyber suit on, as some attacks seem to deflect at times, and missiles sometimes don't damage you also.
The main thing is to have patience and memorize attack patterns at some of the sections to avoid damage on the way to the stage 12 boss. If you're on your last life it's best to just take intentional deaths at that boss when they're almost defeated, so you can continue on to the final stages with 3 lives to get through. Utilizing the special attacks to avoid damage is also very helpful sometimes.
To play this game properly on MiSTer currently, you need to play one of the "Alternates". For some reason the main version in the Arcade folder is glitched and the stage 9 boss never appears. Hopefully this gets fixed or the version in the arcade folder gets replaced with working version, as I can see many users just assuming the game is broken if they try the main listed version there.
