Nintendo DROPPED THE BALL! Why Were There NO Virtual Boy Ports on 3DS?
Man, Nintendo really dropped the ball back in the day regarding the Virtual Boy. First, the botching of the Virtual Boy itself, with overpriced hardware, poor marketing, and trying to convince people it was the successor to the Game Boy, a handheld, when this had to be payed on a table! Then, when they have another 3D console they don't even bother to bring the best 3D games from the Virtual Boy over to be played on it. I'm talking about how Nintendo drop the ball by not allowing or adding games from the Virtual Boy library to the 3DS library. If I could go back in time, what three games would I add from the virtual Boy library? Let's take a look.
Number 3
Teleroboxer
What Mike Tyson's Punch Out was for the NES, Teleroboxer was meant to be for the virtual Boy. In a Savage display of pounding moves and lightning action, robotic boxers from around the globe stepped into a futuristic ring to do battle with you. Mirroring the movements of the humans and control, each boxer is capable of surviving defense matches unbearable to mankind. Much like Punch Out, you fought against larger than life enemies in a boxing ring, and this could have been an amazing port over to the 3DS.
Number 2
Mario Clash
take the first Mario Brothers game, make it monochrome red and black but give it an exceptional depth of field and you have the basics behind Mario Clash. The depth of field here really helps make this a different game from the original Mario Brothers, while still maintaining its own unique level of fun. seeing the koopa shells go between the foreground and background is super fun and really adds dimension, a third one at that, to the game.
Number 1
Wario Land
it is an absolute crime that we have never gotten a follow-up or remaster of wario Land for the virtual Boy, and it seems like the 3DS would have been the perfect place for it. it gives you multi-dimensional cave environments to take you deep into a secret underground world. You fight new enemies and bosses throughout the levels for an increased challenge level and fun. The 3D graphics are really great as well, I dare say on par with the Nintendo 64. They did an amazing job on this game and we really deserve either a follow-up or a remaster to it.
what virtual Boy games do you wish that you would have been able to play on the 3DS? leave your pics in the comment section.
