Previously, the party began the grueling Battle Phantasm competition at the Coliseum in Rakkaran. They cleared the Punishment Beauty Duo bout against Gretel the Witch and Bewitching Juliante, as well as the Super Slime Union bout against Ace, the Gem Slime, and the Shogum. They will now continue this insanity with three more bouts.

Rakkaran (time 0:30):

The party resumes in the church in Rakkaran, the Island of Entertainment.

They enter the Coliseum at B-6 in the southwest of town. On floor 1F, they talk to Clive at D-4/D-5.

They undertake the third bout against the Idol★Monsters (アイドル★モンスターズ). The opponents are Cat Riberio (キャット・リベリオ) and Awakened Pusugon (覚醒プスゴン). Those two deserve each other. The fact that each boss can act twice complicates things. Cat Riberio has several deadly sword attacks, including Gyrfalcon Slash and perhaps Sword Dance. Awakened Pusugon can toss out three Cherry Bombs at a time. Daston can throw one back at her with Trap Jammer. Pusugon can also zap the party with lightning or explosions. Her slaps can sometimes crit. She can charm individual party members. Attacks against one enemy can sometimes enrage the other. My party targets Cat Riberio first due to his consistently high damage output. Once he is down, Awakened Pusugon is much more manageable.

The party finishes this bout in 42 moves. They earn 4 Seeds of Resilience (まもりのたね), 4 Seeds of Therapeusis (しんこうのたね), and 4 Pretty Betsies (うつくしそう).

The party divvies up their new stat seeds. Then, they save with the priest in the Coliseum.

The party talks to Clive again (time 17:58). They undertake the fourth bout against Labor Union Hell (地獄の労働組合). The opponents are two Togrus Maximus (バリクナジャ) and Labor Deathwork (労魔デスワーク). Each Togrus Maximus can hit the entire party with its whip attacks. They can also knock down party members with War Cry. Labor Deathwork is a crazy robot worthy of Mega Man. Its abilities include a quadruple shot against one party member and a flamethrower against the entire party. Fortunately, each enemy only acts once per round. The party focuses on defeating each Togrus Maximus before moving on to the Labor Deathwork.

The party finishes this bout in 65 moves. They earn 4 Seeds of Sorcery (まりょくのたね), 4 Seeds of Deftness (きようさのたね), and 4 Seeds of Therapeusis (しんこうのたね).

The party divvies up their new stat seeds. Then, they save with the priest in the Coliseum.

The party talks to Clive again (time 35:41). They undertake the fifth bout against the True Demon Gods (真・悪霊の神々). The opponents are Atlas (アトラス), Bazuzu (バズズ), and Belial (ベリアル), the wardens of Hargon's Castle from Dragon Quest II. This trio is quite formidable together. Bazuzu's spells include Kathwack and Kaswooshle, and its double-strike attack packs a punch. It also breathes C-c-cold Breath. Atlas, the physical powerhouse, has an Earth Shaker attack that damages the whole party and can knock party members off their feet. He also has a crit-or-miss attack. When Belial isn't spearing a party member with its pitchfork, it spits Death Fire or casts Kaboom. The party focuses down Bazuzu first due to its instant death nonsense. The battle gets more manageable with one monster down. Then, they focus on Atlas due to its earth-shaking club attacks.

The party finishes this bout in 116 moves. They earn 4 Seeds of Sorcery (まりょくのたね), 4 Seeds of Therapeusis (しんこうのたね), and 4 Pretty Betsies (うつくしそう).

The party divvies up their new stat seeds. Then, they alchemize some more Yggdrasil Dew and the ingredients.

The party saves at the church in town. Next time, they will continue the punishing Battle Phantasm.
