Previously, the party continued the Battle Phantasm competition at the Coliseum in Rakkaran. They cleared the Idol★Monsters bout against Cat Riberio and Awakened Pusugon; the Labor Union Hell bout against Labor Deathwork and two Togrus Maximus; and the True Demon Gods bout against Atlas, Bazuzu, and Belial. The party will now suffer through the next three bouts.

Rakkaran (time 0:31):

The party resumes in the church in Rakkaran, the Island of Entertainment.

They enter the Coliseum at B-6 in the southwest of town. On floor 1F, they talk to Clive at D-4/D-5.

They undertake the sixth bout against Infinite Seaweed (無限のわかめ). The initial opponents are a Sea Breeze Diva (潮風のディーバ), a King Kelp (わかめ王子), and a Wailin' Weed (フラワーゾンビ). Expect a lot of status ailments from this slick trio. The King Kelp is speedy and can act twice per round. Comic Song from the King Kelp and the Sea Breeze Diva inflicts dancing on the party. The King Kelp's War Song raises the seaweed party's attack power. Lullaby inflicts sleep on the party. The Sea Breeze Diva has Midheal, which is more of an annoyance than anything. The Wailin' Weed's Cursed Song inflicts curse on the party. Establishing status protection as soon as possible is a priority. Unfortunately, the King Kelp will summon a backup duo of Sea Breeze Divas when its initial team has been defeated, so it may be best to focus on defeating the King Kelp first.

The party finishes this bout in 65 moves. They earn 4 Seeds of Life (いのちのきのみ), 4 Seeds of Agility (すばやさのたね), and 4 Pretty Betsies (うつくしそう).

The party divvies up their new stat seeds. Then, they save with the priest in the Coliseum.

The party talks to Clive again (time 21:48). They undertake the seventh bout against the Vicious Flying Dragons (飛竜たち・強). The opponents are the Red Flying Dragon (赤飛竜), the Blue Flying Dragon (青飛竜), and the Yellow Flying Dragon (黄飛竜). They are much as they were in the battle atop Draklon Mountain, except that this time, they will all attack from the start. My party takes down the Red Flying Dragon first, followed by Yellow and concluding with Blue. However, it may be better to take down the Yellow Flying Dragon first. Its Lightning Storm is highly damaging and can inflict paralysis. Insulatle can mitigate Red and Blue's breath attacks.

The party finishes this bout in 84 moves. They earn 4 Seeds of Life (いのちのきのみ), 4 Seeds of Agility (すばやさのたね), and 4 Seeds of Deftness (きようさのたね).

The party talks to Clive again (time 40:31). They undertake the eighth bout against "Fear! Huge Weapons of Murder" (恐怖！殺りくの巨大兵器). The opponents are two Überkilling Machines (キラーマジンガ) and a Super Killing Machine (Sキラーマシン). These fiendish bots are not to be taken lightly. Each Überkilling Machine has a fairly strong sword attack. They also have a Grand Impact attack that hits the whole party and can inflict knockdown. The Super Killing Machine has even higher attack power. Its Arrow Rain and Laser attacks hit the entire party. Its sword spin attack can hit the entire party twice. The party focuses on defeating the Überkilling Machines first, leaving the Super Killing Machine for last. It appears that the party does not need to worry about status protection once the Überkilling Machines are down. After it takes some punishment, the Super Killing Machine gains the ability to psyche up to 100% tension, so the party should dispel this as soon as possible.

The party finishes this bout in 121 moves. They earn 4 Seeds of Strength (ちからのたね), 4 Seeds of Agility (すばやさのたね), and 4 Seeds of Deftness (きようさのたね).

The party divvies up their new stat seeds. Afterwards, they head out and save in the church in town. Next time, the party will hopefully wrap up the Battle Phantasm competition.
