Head to Rookwood Castle in the extreme southwest of the map, and speak with Fig near the entrance. In order to gain entrance, you can approach stealthily or go loud, but regardless of your choice, you will be ambushed by a Loyalist Ranger as you curve around the left side of the castle. After defeating the couple of enemies that spawn in, use Accio/Wingardium Leviosa on the crate and move it near the crumbled part of the castle walls. Then cast Levioso, climb onto it, and enter the castle proper. You’ll then see a cutscene of Ranrok and Rookwood deliberating their roles in their tenuous partnership, and you learn that Ranrok knows of the Keepers, and Rookwood is seeking out Ancient Magic stores.As you regain control, you’ll be ambushed by a very large force of both Ashwinder enemies (including an Executioner) and Goblin Loyalists. Defeat them all, then loot two Collection Chests in the area. Proceed up the steps on the other side of the courtyard and loop around the ramparts and through the open door. Drop down onto the wooden platform, which will partly collapse, then drop further down onto the ground and you’ll see a locked door with the Ancient Magic symbol. To your right will be two metal symbols on the wall nearby one another, with the third being to your left behind some breakable wooden boards.Hit all three symbols with your Basic Cast in quick succession to open the locked door, letting you proceed downwards to the bottom of the steps, where you’ll need to interact to enter the Rookwood Cellar.Once in the cellar, proceed left through the gaping hole in the wall to find a depleted Ancient Magic reserve. Head through the opening on the right and into the next room, where you’ll find Charles Rookwood’s portrait. Speak to the portrait and Charles will urge you to begin the second Trial. Once back in control, interact with the Ancient Magic spot just to the right to conjure the magical archway, and you can enter through the door at the end of the corridor into the second trial As you enter the Trial, head up the stairs on the right and interact with the Ancient Magic spot there. Head back down the stairs and use Accio to pull a box out from the left corner of the room (underneath the exit you’re trying to reach). Place that in the middle of the gap between the Ancient Magic spot and the other side.Then, head to the other side of the archway portal in the center of the room, and you can Accio another box through the portal to your side.Now, Wingardium Leviosa this second box on top of the first, and then pass through the portal to turn the boxes into a solid pillar that you can climb on, and then climb up again to reach the next area.As you enter the next room, you can hit a distant symbol on the wall in an alcove to the left to create an additional section of bridge, letting you reach a chest. Otherwise, continue on and interact with the Ancient Magic spot just to the right of the archway. You’ll see the archway activate, and a symbol/mechanism appear on the wall to the right. You can hit this mechanism with Basic Cast to rotate the archway 180 degrees, which you’ll need to do to Accio the pillar (which turns into a box on the other side), through the portal and out of the way, letting you spin the archway again to now proceed through the open walkway. In the next area, you’ll see a Pensieve Protector on a circular platform, so give it everything you’ve got to defeat it, though be careful as both Pensieve Sentries and Sentinels will drop into the fight shortly after it begins. Take out these smaller enemies first as their ranged attacks can catch you off guard, and you can get swarmed easily. With those out of the way, deal with the big one. Be careful throughout the duration of this fight, as the circular arena isn’t very wide, and if you get caught in an aerial shockwave attack (denoted by the blue pulsing flame circles on the floor), then you can easily be knocked off to your death. Moving forward, interact with the Ancient Magic spot in front of the archway ahead of you, and hit the symbol through the portal with a Basic Cast. Head through the portal, now to your right, then hit the symbol on the wall again with a Basic Cast to move the portal out of your way, revealing a now intact path on the opposite side. As you cross over the left side, interact with the Ancient Magic spot to the right which will activate the archway portal in the center of the room, as well as reveal a pillar to the left of you. Drop down into the center of the room, and immediately sprint through the side of the portal facing you. There are 2 Pensieve Protectors in this room, that are invisible/impervious to damage unless you are on the correct side of the portal.
