Head to the north of the Forbidden Forest and meet with Poppy Sweeting. She asks about Highwing, and also explains about Horntail Hall, a poachers' den where they exploit creatures for their own entertainment.Follow Poppy a little up the path to encounter a group of Centaurs, chastising you for not staying in Hogwarts and accusing you of collusion with the poachers. After reassuring them you aren’t with the poachers, they bid you farewell with a word of caution. Continue down the path with Poppy, watching a Dugbog drag a deer into the lake; unusual behavior, as Poppy points out. A little further ahead, you’ll need to investigate the poacher camp. Check the cage, the pelts, the fire, and the goblin metal behind the tent. With that done, return to Poppy. After a brief conversation on what you found, proceed forward and down the hill. Ahead are a number of Poachers, which you can choose to approach stealthily with Disillusionment, or outright aggression. If the bridge breaks, use Reparo to put it back together. Across the bridge, enter the tent to trigger a cutscene where the truth of Hornstail Hall is revealed.Horntail Hall is a dragon fighting ring. You and Poppy agree to discreetly look around, though you can choose to be loud if you wish. Whatever your approach, deal with the poacher in front of you, then head into the room to your right, and then down the steps. Another poacher is down here, with two Loyalist Goblins. Deal with/evade them, and climb the ladder on the far side of the room.Continue ahead, but before turning right you’ll trigger a short cutscene where you see a third dragon in chains, being tormented by Poachers.Go down to the right now, and open the door. On the table in the center of the room, use Alohomora to unlock the cage containing a Dragon Egg. With the Dragon Egg now in your possession, turn around and head down the steps into the arena with the chained dragon. Here you’ll be fighting a variety of enemies, mainly Poachers and Goblin Loyalists (and their various iterations). The Duelling Feats are to keep two enemies airborne simultaneously for 5 seconds, disarm an enemy (with Expelliarmus), and to disrupt the Animagus’ Reducto cast with Depulso. With the two waves of enemies defeated, use Accio to pull on the chainlink at the base of the restrained dragon, freeing it. During a cutscene, you are surrounded by enemies by the dragon burns them all to a crisp, as you create a hole in the ceiling of the tent for the dragon to escape through. As you and Poppy escape, she exclaims it was a Hebridean Black, and the Dragon Egg likely belongs to her. After a brief conversation, the quest concludes.
