Head to the top of the Astronomy Tower and speak with Amit as he is one of the few you know that can speak Gobbledegook. You ask for his help and he excitedly agrees, saying he will meet you and Lodgok outside the mine.Go far south, just below Keenbridge, and meet with Lodgok near the Mine’s Eye Floo Flame location. Speak to Lodgok who claims the Helmet plan didn’t work, and Bragbor, an ancestor of Ranrok’s, had repositories of Ancient Magic built across the world, and Ranrok is seeking them out.Amit arrives shortly thereafter, and Lodgok explains you’ll need to read Goblin plans whilst evading the eye above the enchanted door and the roaming Loyalists. Lodgok explains he can’t come with you for fear of being reported to Ranrok Depart and approach the nearby mine entrance, casting Disillusionment to evade detection by the eye above the door. Once you open the door, you can then enter The Mine’s Eye. Now inside the mine, head down the path and hit the fireplace to your left with Confringo/Incendio to open up the elevator nearby which you can then activate the mechanism inside of to travel down deeper into the mine.Head down the passageway to the right and use Accio to drag the platform over.Walk aboard, then drag yourself back across to the other side. Up ahead you’ll find some Loyalists to defeat, and another eye door which you’ll need to cast Disillusionment to get through Follow the tunnel round and inspect the scroll on the table in the main room you emerge out into. Another scroll is on the table on the first floor, to the right. You’ll find another later in the area on a barrel just to the left of a slope, leading into a combat area with multiple Loyalists, including a Commander. Clear them out, then check the right-hand side of the arena for another schematic near the open eye door. On the left side of the arena, light the furnace with Confringo/Incendio, then pull the mechanism up to the right with Accio to open the waterway tunnel behind it. Proceed through the cave and crawl through the narrow space to reach another combat arena. Clear out the Loyalist enemies, then cast Disillusionment to sneak up to and through the eye door.Go up the steps to the left in the room ahead, and inspect the scroll on the table for a schematic of a gigantic drill.To exit the mine, light the furnace in the same room as this schematic, then turn left immediately after exiting the eye door to pull a mechanism with Accio, activating the lift.
Riding the lift up and backtracking out of the mine to Hogwarts Valley, speak to Amit once outside who will bid you farewell, letting you speak to Lodgok nearby. You inform him of the Goblin’s drill plans, and he explains that he had an extensive history with Miriam, Professor Fig’s wife, and due to her kindness, he decided that Ranrok’s approach is not the way forward. Lodgok warns that if Ranrok discovers the repositories, a great war is bound to ensue.
