Head to the Map Chamber and speak with Niamh Fitzgerald's portrait to learn that the third Trial is located in the Headmaster's Office, and you'll need to access it whilst Headmaster Black is away.To learn of a way in, you decide to head to Professor Fig. Speak to Professor Fig in his classroom to begin The Polyjuice Plot quest.
To find In The Shadow Of The Study, you'll need to complete In The Shadow Of The Bloodline first. After you've done that, talk to Sebastian outside the Slytherin common room As soon as you begin talking to him, he'll explain that Ominis caved in and that you may have to talk to him. When you begin talking to him, you'll begin apologizing to him and further explaining yourself. Ominis will then open up about the dark arts and how Sebastian keeps bugging him. Ominis will then go on to say how the secret entrance has been found, but the last person who did vanish. After he says that, you can say one of the following:

Aren't you curious about what's inside?
I understand your caution.
Ominis will go on to say that it isn't worth the risk, but your character will convince him to go along with the plan.

Now that the two of you are done talking, you'll have to open the door by lighting all three torches in the dungeon. This will open the door, allowing you to travel underground. When you reach the bottom, use Reparo to fix the broken art piece, then talk to Omnis. He'll explain that he can hear a voice, and he can use this to open the door. Omnis will then explain that he's having doubts, and after he says that, you can say one of the following: Second and third thoughts.

You'll need to look for clues as soon as the door opens. To unlock the first door, you'll need to place the circle-like object on top and the snake on the bottom. This room will lead you to a torch you can light up and another lock. To open this gate, return to the door you originally opened. Make sure the top piece is the O shaped with the two lines branching out on the right-hand side and the bottom piece is a triangle-like shape. This will lead you to another locked door. You'll have to pick up the journal on the floor to open this one. After you do that, your character will begin talking to Omnis, and Sebastian will say that Omnis must do Crucio to open the door. After he says that, you can say one of the following: I'd rather you ask him.
I'll ask him.
Omnis will then say either you or Sebastian must cast it. After, you'll have to talk to Sebastian, and he'll tell you that either he can cast it or you can. Once he says that, you'll have the option to say one of the following:

Very well, I don't want to learn the Cruciatus Curse.
I want to learn Cruciatus Curse. But you must cast it on me.
Teach me the Cruciatus Curse, and I'll cast it on you. After you select an option, the door will open up. Now that the door is opened up, pick up the book in the center of the room. When you pick up the book, give it to Sebastian. After you're done talking, you'll have to leave the room and listen to what Omnis says. As soon as he's done talking, you'll complete the quest.
