Every time you blink, you jump forward in time. Sometimes, just a few minutes or days go by. But other times, years pass when you blink.

This is the concept behind the game Before Your Eyes, which uses eye tracking technology to recreate the surreal experience of life passing before your eyes.

The original version of this game uses a camera or webcam to track your eyes, but recently it was ported to PlayStation VR2

To me, this dramatically increases the immersion, and it's a perfect fit, because the PSVR2 has some great eye tracking built in.

As for the game itself, I feel like it’s important to set your expectations correctly.

I'd say Before Your Eyes is 90% an experience, and only 10% a game. But what an experience it is.

I won’t tell you much about the story itself, but I will tell you that it had a profound impact on me, and really made me think about the importance of the little moments we often take for granted in life.

Admittedly, a game where blinking is your primary input may not be for everyone, but if you're looking for something different and thought-provoking, Before Your Eyes is absolutely worth a try.
