* Pang Tong can forgo the combination of Absorption with Hundun partner setup to replenish Health and Musou. He can replace Absorption for Alacrity and replace Hundun partner for a stronger partner, Xiahou Yuan or Hanzo Hattori.

- Analysis:
I chose this stage because it makes Pang Tong cooler with Air R1.
Anyways, Pang Tongs C5 EX does massive damage, massive combo count and has MASSIVE absorption. His tactic is fairly simple, run attack to an enemy (to receive the temporary attack speed buff) and use C5 EX-WD. Please don't forget to WD after every C5 EX. If not, drunken Pang Tong might get jump scared by leaping peons.

Tip: When using normal attacks to get C5 EX in crowded situations, make sure Pang Tong circles around while doing normal attacks to reduce his chances of getting interrupted.

Pang Tong's Aggression C5 EX on frozen enemies is so strong that it will OHKO the toughest enemies in the game. And he doesn't even have Courage, Blast or Attack 999 ...
Pang Tong's R1 replenishes Health and offers a buff. It sounds useful on paper, but not really (at least not on him). He has to sit through the entire animation to receive all the effects. He already does enough damage and have massive absorption. If anything, Koei has the tendency to distribute seemingly useful buffs on character who don't need it or can't use it well at all *cough* Zhang He's Air R1.
- Personal Thoughts:
Personally, I do not prefer Alacrity over Absorption or replacing Hundun with Xiahou Yuan or Hanzo Hattori (at least for Free Mode) with 3 good reasons:
1.) Pang Tong will always use C5 EX as for his primary offense, combo generating and massive absorption,
2.) He is very good at crowd clearing, allowing him to use Impact/ Thrift from Hundun very well. Any other stronger partner setup like Xiahou Yuan or Hanzo Hattori won't help him too much, but only solidify KOs even further,
3.) He will become crowd dependent if he decides to choose Alacrity over Absorption.
I mentioned this partner combination + weapon setup because it has merit if this was in Gauntlet Mode (guaranteed you'll have more partners). R1 is good for replenishing Health with additional buff, but it becomes very tedious to watch through the entire animation and ultimately, slowing down the flow of the game.
